This sight is great! I found one that caught my eye because of the name, the Boogerman Loop. http://www.hikinginthesmokys.com/boogerman_loop.htm. The "Trails by Feature" or "Trails by Difficulty Rating" are very helpful, too.

I haven't a clue how to post on this blog thingy or if I'm even allowed to... :) Technology and I are not currently on speaking terms.

We are planning...
1) 7/29 - The Ark Encounter - on the way down to Sevierville
2) 7/31 - Christian and Wendi make breakfast (unless this day's been claimed)
7/31 - Thunder Road Distillery - Kodak, TN - Tour and Tasting
3) 8/1 - Hillside Winery and/or Apple Barn Winery, both in Sevierville (in the late morning or early afternoon)
8/1 - Evening @ Dollywood, Perhaps go around 5? Stay for fireworks?
4) 8/2 - Our youngun's can go back to the park for the day - Ma and I will lounge, laze, swim, shop...whatever.
5) 8/3 - The Lost Sea Adventure - Sweetwater, TN - (underground lake)
6) 8/4 - Celebrate the birth of big bro! :)
7) 8/5 - Early departure for home (5:30 am)

All open to change and editing as necessary but wanted to get this out there for folks.

That hike does not look too, too bad for old folks. However, I will reserve judgment until we arrive in Tennessee! And I have a thought that may or may not work: we have several wedding anniversaries that the married couples could celebrate during the week -- if there is time. My thought was to go someplace (the young kids can choose), and each couple would pay for their own meal. That may not work, of course, and I would not want to interfere with other plans. I just thought I would toss it out there.

Papa and I may wish to join Chris and Family on their Dollywood escapades, and we will also be fine with the one evening there. Then, we, too, will be lazy the next day--actually, I plan to be lazy EVERY day that week!

The boogermann trail also looked fun. I didn't "pick" it cuz it was 79 miles away in nc.

This is what was posted for kiki. The Schnackenberger Meisterbergers (And Missesbergers) would like to invite you to their condo for a breakfast feast on the Monday morning of our vacation which happens to fall on the 31st of July.

Hmm. Wonder what they'll serve or what time they will serve it? Details follow soon they will.
